Happy to share our unpublished work on structural correction of a genetic cardiomyopathy. This work was spearheaded by the incredible duo Ping Wang and Mahmoud Salama Ahmed. We report : 1) The first structural basis of the mechanism of decreased ca+ sensitivity in a DCM and

2) identification of an FDA approved drug that corrects the mutant troponin crystal structure, restores ca sensitivity (thanks to Sakthivel Sadayappan, PhD, MBA and Rohit Singh!), restores contraction velocity in patient iPSC-myocytes (thanks to Joseph C Wu, MD, PhD!) and normalizes LVEF in mutant mice
