Another great BoM snapshot to supplement the cyclone and flood warnings. It’s 2 minutes well spent if you need an overview of what is happening.

Loving #AFAC21 so far. Just one morning in and the collective brain power is pretty special. I love the mix of knowledge and passion - it means we are in good hands as we try to meet the challenges of the future.

I was touched to be able to accept such wonderful gift on behalf of the team who deployed to Canada in 2021. International partnerships are vital for us to continue to develop and it was great to continue the strong partnership with our @CIFFC friends.

At the MCG to watch the mighty Tigers and I have the bonus of seeing just how diverse our emergency services agencies are. Spine tingling display. Proud to have a couple of Webbs on the field. Thanks Hawthorn FC & Emergency Services Foundation. So important we thank these important people.

So simple yet so effective. Great video from Victoria to explain a new, truly Australian Fire Danger Rating System - built on the latest science to support fire agencies and designed with communities to help them to make the right choices, wherever they are.

Excited to be presenting at #AFAC22 on @FireThriveAU's self-evacuation archetype tailored bushfire preparedness email campaign. Whilst evaluation is still underway, I'll unpack the process of behavioural analysis/mapping and resource design to achieve change.

The last day of #AFAC22 is for our Professional Development Program! This morning 4 groups headed off for field trips across Adelaide and 3 workshops are running on recovery, lithium-ion batteries and spatial technologies.

It was great to witness this generational change in how we prepare for bushfires. When coupled with the Australian Warning System, and the dedicated fire and emergency services sector, communities will be better equipped to make the right decisions wherever they are.

Across the world these conversations are happening and we’re making progress - getting ahead of the curve any way we can means lives and livelihoods are saved - that is the only reason we need. Thanks for sharing Dr. Lori Moore. #BiastoAction
