It has been great working on Phantom Spark and I’m seriously impressed by how polished this game ended up being. Definitely well worth giving this one a shot.

I absolutely love games and especially VFX, and I’m grateful that I’ve been doing great as a freelancer. But honestly, I don’t see myself doing this forever and I definitely wouldn’t mind eventually making furniture for a living. The end goal is an offline job.

And just like that, everyone seems to put their faith completely back into Unity. Never forget what they tried to pull off. If given the opportunity they will likely do it again. Not to mention they’re still serious about all of that gen AI crap. Open source is the way to go.

Why is this such a big deal for so many people all of the sudden? You don't own the software you buy, you buy a license to use it. Even physical media, you may own the physical container, but not the software on it. Software licensing has been around since the '70s.
