What a performance by University of Bristol in #UniversityChallenge today! Is it too early to say they are the team to beat? And also Amol Rajan Roger Tilling maybe there needs to be VAR given today's controversy 😉.

Thank you @LucyTeece for organising this wonderful session Royal Statistical Society International Conference! With constant pressure to emphasise the important of our own research, it was refreshing and enjoyable to talk about others' contributions that are underappreciated. I highly recommend these opportunities!

Really delighted to have been nominated for the RSS Council. It's a fabulous organisation full of great people, that I'd be absolutely thrilled to represent this way. If you are an RSS Fellow please do cast your vote, you will have received an email link! rss.org.uk/about/governan…

Do any AEs here manage to get their editorial work done before 10pm on a weekday and not on weekends? If so what is your secret? :)

Really excited to be giving a seminar at my alma mater Warwick Statistics tomorrow! I will be talking about our work on saturated count models for synthetic data: academic.oup.com/jrsssa/article… and very interested in the feedback!

Whatever your view, the assisted dying bill should commit to improve yr on yr funding for palliative care (incl research). With enough research, I feel any disease/condition can be cured/managed. While ambitious, we should improve QoL, at all stages, so this option is not needed.
