Or maybe take a look into the sky?πŸ”The #atmosphere is an often overlooked reservoir of fresh #water. πŸ’§ Materials chemist Robert Woodward & his team developed a novel approach to tap into this precious resource in even the driest locations on Earth.🌎 rudolphina.univie.ac.at/en/how-to-harv…

Building from our Small paper, we report a sulfonated COF for atmospheric water harvesting πŸ’§. Sulfonation shifted water uptake onset to <5% relative humidity. Another fruitful collab with KleitzGroup. Out now in ChemSusChem: …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cs….

We just set up our brand new 3Flex (πŸ₯³)! Looking for solutions for low-cost temperature control set ups, say from 20 to 50 oC. We have a really good heating bath spare but it’s absolutely huge. Does #ChemTwitter have any tips πŸ™πŸ»?

πŸ’§πŸŒ Our new perspective on atmospheric water harvesting argues crystallinity in porous organic networks may not be essential. We also provide a brief guide for researchers new to the field: doi.org/10.1016/j.reac…! #AtmosphericWaterHarvesting

Sometimes simple approaches work out! We thermally oxidised a hypercrosslinked polymer (essentially just baked at 300 Β°C πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³) to improve its hydrophilicity and, hence, atmospheric water harvesting ability. Check it out: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Yesterday we unveiled our Forschungsstelle (Research Hub) in Lustenau, Vorarlberg with Vtrion Research. We had a great day meeting with future collaborators and even the Mayor, Kurt Fischer πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ή πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦. Looking forward to bringing applied doctoral research to Vorarlberg. πŸ”¬πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ή
