Lost his life this day. 6th.October.1940. Sgt. Frederick Fenton Vinyard . One of THE FEW. bbm.org.uk/airmen/Vinyard… On an operational patrol in his Spitfire he entered cloud in poor visibility. His Spitfire was seen to crash into the sea off Flamborough Head. He was never found.
