On Wednesday (21/8) the Eastbourne Ladies Triple Bowls final took place. Their treasurer, Ros, presented us a cheque for Β£650 and our pop up shop raised Β£210. Thank you!

πŸ“Ÿ Shout 116 πŸ“Ÿ At 12pm today our ILB was tasked to a dismasted yacht off Eastbourne emitting a Pan Pan distress call. Due to the nature of the rescue 2 crew members went aboard the yacht & the ALB was tasked to tow her safely into Sovereign Harbour. #RNLI #SavingLivesAtSea

πŸ“Ÿ Shout 121 πŸ“Ÿ At 12.06pm yesterday both lifeboats were launched to reports of persons cut off by the tide. A lone walker was found & brought onto the ILB by a crew member but due to being cold & wet was transferred to the ALB to be taken ashore into the care of the coastguard.

πŸ“Ÿ Shout 122 πŸ“Ÿ At 9:32am Mon, Solent Coastguard requested the launch of our ILB to carry out a shoreline search for a missing person. As the ILB crew were making way to the search location, police & coastguards had located the person safe & well so the lifeboat was stood down.

πŸ“Ÿ Shout 123 πŸ“Ÿ At 8:38pm Mon our volunteers pagers sounded, requesting them to be on standby for an incident. Crew made their way to station and readied the ILB for launching & stood by for further information. Fortunately, the incident was resolved and no launch was required.

πŸ“Ÿ Shout 124 πŸ“Ÿ At 7:54pm Tues our ALB launched after a member of the public reported seeing an unknown object in the water just west of the Pier. After a thorough search, an unlit buoy was located and this was confirmed to be the object in question. #SavingLivesAtSea #RNLI

πŸ“ŸShout 125πŸ“Ÿ Our ILB was paged at 6.45am Tues & requested to assist a casualty with a leg injury to the west of Eastbourne. As they were about to launch they were stood down as local coastguard rescue teams were able to get them to a place where assistance could be given. #RNLI

πŸ“ŸShout 128πŸ“Ÿ Our ILB was paged at 6:19pm Weds to a kitesurfer who suffered equipment failure & was in difficulty in the sea off the harbour. Just as the crew was preparing for launch, info was received that the casualty managed to swim back to shore so our ILB was stood down.

πŸ“ŸShout 130πŸ“Ÿ At 5:02pm yesterday, our volunteer crew were paged & requested to launch the D Class ILB β€˜David H’. Once afloat, they were tasked to assist partner agencies with an incident. After being stood down they returned to station, washed down and refueled the Lifeboat.
