CFBISD mourns the loss of Shirley Jean Tarpley, a former teacher at R. L. Turner and Newman Smith High Schools. Mrs. Tarpley was foundational in integrating R. L. Turner HS and Newman Smith HS while working for the school district. For many years she was voted one of the Top 10

I have been celebrating to myself for a bit, but I want to share that I am now an Adobe Creative Educator Innovator. Yahoo!!!! #AdobeEduCreative I am thrilled to collaborate and get even more creative with this year's Adobe cohort!

Families, RLT and CFB are experiencing complications because of the recent severe weather. As a result RLT will be canceling the team sports camps we had scheduled for today. We will be seeking guidance from district leadership about how to navigate the rest of the week.

UPDATE ⚠️ Due to flooding and multiple power outages across the district, CFB campuses and district offices will be closed for the remainder of today, Tuesday, May 28th. Essential workers should report to their supervisor for further communication. Please stay safe!

Dear CFB families, As crews continue to restore buildings affected by power outages, some of our Summer School sites are still not ready. Therefore, we will need to delay the start of summer school until Tuesday, June 4th, to allow Oncor to have all buildings up and running
