I feel SO fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful department, and so enjoy spending time with my students, colleagues, and mentors at the AMS Annual Meeting every year. The UAlbany ATM/ENV Sci party was a blast, as usual; such a great community!

That was an absolutely unreal experience. First pic shows the shadow rapidly advancing...a perfect day/night split! Had such an awesome time up in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, on Lake Champlain, with Nick P Bassill, and joined up with Erik Creighton and @elucy13, too!

I'm so excited to be welcoming Jake P. Mulholland, Ph.D. to our department this fall! I'm very much looking forward to all of the new and exciting severe storm research and teaching opportunities to come!

With high pressure centered over eastern New York today, this afternoon's smoke plume from the prescribed burn at the Albany Pine Bush was especially upright, and in the fairly dry boundary layer finally produced a tiny pyrocumulus at the top. As viewed from my office at ETEC!

I really enjoyed hosting the Northeast Partnership for Atmospheric and Related Sciences (NEPARS) REU this week UAlbany ATM/ENV Sci. Students from all around the country presented their summer research at ETEC, and of course had their photo taken at the ETEC NYS Mesonet at UAlbany site, too!
