Peter Obi ran a model campaign the best of democracies in the world would emulate & be super proud of. He kept it issues-based; He never insulted anyone no matter the provocations; He spoke to our problems, their causes, effects & solutions. #PeterObiMyPresident Guess what?

Nigerians heard him. He took Nigerians on a journey of discovery through their nation. Nigerians in the South probably heard of Numan for the first time; Some learnt the size of River Niger & its richness; Some rediscovered how lush/lovely Nigeria really is & what is POssible

From Niger to Oyo and Bayelsa. We all envisioned a life of beyond OIL; An educated life. A dignified life. A life of values. A life of unity. A life of productivity. From consumption to production. That's the #obidatti campaign Nigerians voted for. Nothing changes that!

I just came across a sad, heartbreaking video where Nasarawa women staged a topless protest as a means of registering their displeasure with the election results.

The purpose of election is for citizens to participate in democratic governance through the representatives they elect. A grievous injustice occurs when citizens are denied the opportunity to vote in a free, fair and credible process or their mandate is stolen from them.

Our women who should be honoured and respected, and their rights protected, have been degraded and left to seek justice the only way they can trust by calling on their creator.

I remain committed to 40% affirmative action for women in political appointments and will encourage the same in the corporate world. As a nation, we must do better and ensure that the mandate of the people is not stolen from them. -PO

“I bring you warm greetings in this historic season, as we remember the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and his glorious resurrection. May Plateau indeed witness the Grandeur of His resurrection.” Happy Easter Plateau!
