At the Minority and Indigenous Rights conference we're discussing the complicit role of the State and Church of Scotland in the #TinkerExperiments And failures of the Scottish Government to issue an apology and redress for the victims. Global experts are appalled by the lack of action.

We wouldn’t have gotten this far without the support of Inspiring Leith and Making Rights Real . As one neighbour says: our dependence on 2 charities doing the work The City of Edinburgh Council has failed to is quite disgraceful

Sitting now with Marianne Scobie Glasgow Disability Alliance working on urgent funding priorities to secure future of GDA. We'd much rather be at the rally defending #DisabilityBenefits under attack by @UKGov Sending #Solidaity #Love #NoToCuts #CutsKill #GDAVoices #DPOs

We are very sad to hear the news about the passing of the brilliant Christina McKelvie. Christina was a mighty woman, a big supporter of our work, and a true champion for human rights in Scotland. Our deepest sympathies for her partner and dear family at this sad time.

We're currently considering Scotland's compliance with the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). Yesterday we heard from a panel that included Clare MacGillivray of Making Rights Real ⬇ Watch the meeting: ow.ly/nwea50VKkea

The council are literally keeping elderly and disabled people prisoners in their own homes. No deliveroo operative will climb 10 flights of stairs. Thank the heavens for my friend Jim Slaven and the vibrant community in Dumbiedykes. Council - do your job and serve your people.

Mark Ruskell MSP asked “the Scottish Government whether it will issue a formal public apology to members of the Gypsy Traveller community, in light of reports of the harm caused by what was known as the Tinker Experiment.” Mark Ruskell Scottish Government #TinkerExperiments
