Today at Dalkeith High School our S3 Historians will be diving into LGBT History Month. We have the opportunity to explore a vast and colourful history that has traditionally been hidden from the public consciousness. Some brilliant resources from TIE and D Geddes too! #LGBTHM22

Lovely to see our S2 engage so enthusiastically with our brand new unit on Native Americans. They've learned about the cultural areas that existed before the arrival of Europeans, different tribes and their culture. They loved getting creative making dreamcatchers! Dalkeith High School

Was so nice to take my Advanced Higher students to the National Library of Scotland. They were given a tour, issued readers passes and attended workshop on digital resources. They are all very excited about embarking on their university places later in year Dalkeith High School

Extremely proud of the efforts of our LGBTQ+ group, 'Prism' who raised a wonderful £300 on Purple Friday last month for @LGBTYS. The flag signed by our staff and our certificate will be displayed proudly in the main corridor! Dalkeith High School
