Underrated Sales Tip:
In 'Expert Secrets,' Russell Brunson talks about trial closes.
Trial closes involve getting the prospect to agree multiple times throughout the presentation before asking for the sale.
Examples:
- Am I right?
- Does this make sense?
- Can you see
Don't consume books with the expectation of learning everything.
If you learn one valuable piece of information that can benefit your life, then the book was worth it.
Motivation is like a warm bath that gets colder as time passes.
It's nice.
But it's not permanent.
To accomplish your goals and win, discipline is a requirement.
How to avoid awkward networking calls?
Always think “yes, and…” to keep the convo going.
Here's how it works:
1. Drop your thoughts and listen.
2. Agree with the other person's statement (YES).
3. Add a comment to build upon the convo (AND).
For example...
A: "I hate
"I forget everything I read."
*Tries to remember every single detail of the book*
Change your expectations:
- Set an intention.
- Take notes on things that cause a "spark."
- Review your notes often.
Books are extremely valuable.
You just have to learn the skill of reading
Knowing how to consume content is an underrated skill.
It's the ~new~ way of learning.
Here's what's worked for me:
1. Setting an intention.
2. Acting like a student (taking notes).
3. Consuming long-form over short-form.
Doing all 3 has allowed me to acquire new skills.
Content is a double-edged sword
The good side?
- Knowledge
- Free Education
The bad side?
- Information Overload
- Passive Consumption (No Action)
The best way to consume content, to avoid the 'bad side,' is to set intentions:
"What is my purpose for watching this?"
Learning sales is a non-negotiable in business.
Yes, it's an integral part of business.
But, most importantly, the constant rejection gives you thicker skin.
Which is important...
Because behind every successful entrepreneur are multiple failed businesses.
One thing I'll never forget?
Being rejected for 10+ min. wage jobs.
I was 15.
I was desperate to earn $$$, so I started selling clothes online.
I made $1.5k in less than 2 months.
And I've wanted to be an entrepreneur ever since.
It's funny how life works, huh?
The goal is to turn discipline into habits.
- Working out.
- Waking up at 5 am.
- Running a business, etc...
These tasks SHOULD get easier over time.
If they don't, you're doing something wrong.
My #1 self-improvement tip:
Address the problem (not the symptoms).
If you're depressed because you're out of shape, will meditation really make a difference? NO.
What is "meditation?"
Meditation is the art of focus & presence.
The FORM of meditation is irrelevant.
If you're at the gym and 100% locked in on mind-muscle connection, guess what...
You're meditating.
