January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month 👨‍🚒 Firefighters face increased risks due to exposure to toxins on the job. The CBS Fire Department has adopted best practices like 🚿 Shower Within the Hour to reduce exposure. Thank you for your bravery! #FirefighterCancerAwareness

The Conception Bay South and St. John’s Regional fire departments are on the scene of a commercial structure fire on Oakes Lane in Long Pond at the moment. A large commercial building is on fire and heavy winds are thwarting the firefighting effort.
