In the example, how would a consumer duty help with the first and second parts of the triple upgrade? Ofgem doesn't regulate home energy technologies. Boiler, heat pump, smart charger providers may all be unlicensed.

Given how short on capacity the power market is, it's a little sad that we're not seeing more opportunities for consumers to get paid for demand reduction. A huge opportunity missed.

Still irritating that Citizens Advice only credits its work on energy networks excess profits as starting with Monopoly Money. It got the front page of The Times and a brutal select committee report out of Many Happy Returns.
