When you have rich parents to fall back on, the results don’t matter. As Zohran Kwame Mamdani has said, c’est la vie That’s not a governing philosophy. It’s an excuse for failure. It’s time to build. That’s requires real affordability policies. Let’s do it.

Somewhere last night in New York City, a single mother and her children again slept at a homeless shelter because you, assemblyman Zohran Kwame Mamdani continue to occupy her rent-stabilized apartment. It’s been 10 days since the world found out. You went on a weeklong distraction

It’s all over the lease and you have to separately sign several forms from DHCR specifically because the apt is rent stabilized. On top of that, this was literally the field Zohran Kwame Mamdani was in when he signed the lease.

The question was initially pitched in the context of a law used to crack down on prostitution (I and many others contend it wasn’t used that way.) He’s not backing away from that, but is Zohran Kwame Mamdani walking away from decriminalizing prostitution? Someone should ask again.
