So near and yet so far for our man David De La Cruz and @AstanaQazTeam this week. They lost first Luis Leon Sanchez and then yesterday Mark Cavendish. Great to see David in the break today with Alexey Lutsenko , David crossing the line in 10th. Enjoy the rest day David and team.

My daughter's Y3 teacher is the absolute GOAT. She single-handedly crocheted a mini-me of each kid in her class as an end of year gift. Approx. 8hrs per doll. Even the hairstyles and clothes are spot on. What a legend.

One for the #hertsbirds hive mind. Walking dog at lunchtime and she flushed a Woodcock/Snipe from this small area of woodland. I’ve never seen WC before, and never seen a Snipe in this area (of farmland just outside Ware). Which is the more likely to have been seen? Herts Bird News
