For our whole school link display all classes have been looking at Tilly Matthews' Paul the Peacock text. Year 1 explored what it means to be a good friend. They were inspired by Paul the Peacock's colourful feathers and designed their own.

As part of our whole school text, Year 2 explored the different emotions Paul the Peacock experienced whilst in the hole and after being saved by his friends. They wrote diary entries illustrating his thoughts and emotions before making a promise to be kind.

Year 4 have been using crotchets, minims and semibreves to create a piece of music with Specialist Music Teacher Dan.

As part of our whole school text, Year 3 thought about how Paul the Peacock treated Norris and what it means to say sorry. They wrote apology letters showing empathy and used powerful sentences with conjunctions to explain his feelings in detail.

As part of our whole school text, Year 4 wrote letters in the role of Paul the Peacock. They also thought of ways to apply our four school values in their everyday school life.

As part of our whole school text (Paul the Peacock), Year 6 wrote diary entries from the point of Norris the Loris. Then they drew pictures inspired by Norris during different parts in the story.

As part of our whole school text, Year 5 have used 'Paul the Peacock' to help them understand what true friendship is and how to treat others.

Last week children in school heard from Tottenham Hale Local Hero Verral Paul-Walcott who shared powerful insights about World Homeless Day.

Settling in is really important to us. Nursery children have been getting to know each other this half term and have been thinking about what makes a good friend.

Outdoor learning in Year 4 inspired by the story Leaf Man. Children created their own leaf man and recreated scenes from one of the places Leaf Man visited.

There's a real reading buzz in the air! Since launching our reading challenge, books have been flying off the shelves and imaginations are soaring! Let’s keep turning those pages!

Year 6 have been outdoors exploring vascular and non-vascular plants as part of their Science topic.  Lots of brilliant observations and curious questions about how different plants grow and survive.

Year 2 have been exploring the outdoor environment for natural vs man made objects. They explored the formal elements of art in preparation to create a piece of art which demonstrates natural and man made objects as well as the formal elements of art.

Year 3 have been designing and making Stone Age leather bags in Design and Technology.

Spooky fun in the early years today. Children have been busy with Halloween crafts, sensory play and even a mini costume parade.

What's been happening in the art room? We've been making zines across all year groups. Year 6 have also been learning about Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth as part of the Fourth Plinth School Award.

Woodpecker nursery have been busy making and decorating their own firework biscuits this week.

We have begun our Mastering Number journey this term in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We’ll be using rekenreks to explore number patterns and deepen understanding.
