How do school communicate with their parents, effectively?

So today is the first day that I have cleared my inbox since March, for today only! Now to work through the next 5086 e mails that I have avoided over the last 8 months! #Headteacher #emails

This morning I woke up and realised it was still 2021! #sendhelp #headteacher

As we move into week three, I’m optimistic that this week will be more settled and less stressful! Here’s hoping, as I’m not sure I’ve got 5 more weeks in me!

As we approach the final few days of the Spring 1 term, I note it’s still 2021, Covid19 is very much still here, but we continue to make improvements, personally and as a collective! #headteacher

Such a positive day curriculum planning with both DHT’s. It was a slow process appointing both, but a very worth while one with an amazing outcome! #SLT

1st time posting in a while! Member of staff is off “sick” phone call received from another school for an informal chat about said “sick” staff member who is in an interview at their school! Can I sack “sick” staff member? Answers on a postcard!

It’s been a while! OfSted popped in to see us - clear improvements made and grade change. 5 deep dives! Early ready chosen by OfSted and 4 chosen by me - which surprised me! No other lessons observed, only those linked with deep dives!

Working with subject leads on possible Ofsted questioning, their subject intent and action plans was defo time well spent. PfA was key in special.

During the Ofsted phone call, have your SLT present. It’s allowed, it’s helpful, it strengthens messages to be shared with staff.

First thing I learnt when I became a head! The loneliness is real!

Ofsted report being published next week, I’m over it and have already moved on to next areas for improvement - report not needed!
