A few evening showers or storms around Metro Detroit, but they should be much more widespread around and north of I69. They will move SE and most will fizzle out between 8 and 10 PM.

Storms in NW St. Clair County are moving toward the southeast. Wind gusts to 40 mph and some small hail are likely.

The flood advisory has been upgraded to a flash flood warning in Detroit and through the Grosse Pointes until 10:15 PM. Do not drive through flood waters. Up to 2.5" of rain has fallen in a short time.

After the flooding rains in Detroit this evening we will dry out for a few days. The next rain chance will come Sunday afternoon.

The weekend starts dry on Saturday, but the later it gets Sunday, the more likely you are to get wet.

Keep your umbrella around through Thursday. Some thunder is possible and the heaviest rain will most likely come late Wednesday and Wednesday evening.

Some flooding concerns continue into this evening. More scattered heavy showers and storms are possible through the evening.

Watching the tropics! Two systems are likely to develop through the end of the week. Sunday night through Wednesday of next week the two get close together and fairly close to the U.S. After Wednesday, it is not yet clear if the east coast will be impacted.

Some more heavy showers and storms have developed in Livingston County and are moving SE. This band may work all the way through the metro area this evening.

A new Tropical Storm will be getting closer to the U.S. over the next few days. Interests along the east coast need to pay attention.

A few showers are possible through late evening. Coverage will be fairly isolated. A clap of thunder would be very isolated.
