A real pleasure to call on H.E Ambassador Alastair Long, U.K. 🇬🇧 Ambassador to Bahrain 🇧🇭. Good to hear about the excellent bilateral work between our two countries.

Visited the Open Prisons facility and was briefed on the programmes and efforts made to develop the alternative sentencing system in the Kingdom. The alternative sentencing system in Bahrain is the first of its kind in the Gulf Region, post training re-offending is down to 2.5%.

Attended the funeral service of a wonderful local resident Mabel who was 103 years old. It was a real pleasure to get to know her during my time as the local MP for the area, always kind great smile and a big heart. Fond memories from attending her 100th Birthday celebrations.

Today on #ArmedForcesDay2025 I would like to thank our Armed Forces Personel /their families & those who support our armed forces for all they do in helping keep our country safe🙏 It was a real pleasure to meet so many Personel home & abroad during my time as an MP 2010-2024.

Many Congratulations to Paul Dennington, from Hempstead, Gillingham, for receiving a British Empire Medal (BEM) for his fundraising for a prostate cancer charity, which stands at more than £80,000. It was a real pleasure to support his nomination during my time as the local MP.

London is full of surprises, great to catch up with my wonderful friend & former USA 🇺🇸 counterpart Ambassador Sam BrownBack. As the former UK 🇬🇧 Envoy on Religious Freedom, Sam was wonderful to work with, we got lots done including the setting up of the 26 Country Alliance.

A real pleasure to welcome our University of Oklahoma 🇺🇸 team to Gillingham, and Avenue Tennis 🎾 for game against 🇬🇧 team on Grass Courts. The USA team lead by Prof Burge & young Sam beat the UK team Colin and Reh: 6-1 6-2 Well done 👏 team 🇺🇸 well deserved win.

Called on H.E Hakim Hajoui of Morocco 🇲🇦to🇬🇧 & congratulated him on the change in UK Gov Foreign Policy, in supporting Morocco’s Autonomy proposal for Western Sahara. In the Parliamentary debate on 8 May 2024 I asked Gov to review its position in light of latest legal evidence.

A real pleasure to be back at one of my old schools this time Rainham Mark Grammar School for the Library Naming celebration in honour of the former outstanding Head Teacher Dr Robin Keen who served as Head for over 30 years. Thank you sir for your brilliant service. 🙏

Joined residents in Rainham protesting against proposals by Medway Council to build 750 homes on the Pump Lane Orchards. Similar proposals to build on the site were refused by the Planning Inspector 4 years ago. This is unsustainable lacks infrastructure/ destroys Green Space.
