His blessing is not based on our performance. His favor, His healing, His freedom, His mercy are gifts. It’s something that we don’t deserve. We don’t earn it. We couldn’t work for it. We can’t make it happen in our own strength. It’s His goodness.

When you put God first, everything falls into place.

When God breathed life into you, He didn’t just put you on the earth and say, “Good luck, you’re on your own.” He said, “I’m going to guard you. I’m going to push back forces of darkness. I’m going to hide you from enemies; I’m going to shield you from trouble.”

There’s nothing the enemy would love any more than for you to spend your life running: running from God’s call on your life, running from your fears, running from your hurts, running from your past. It’s time to stop running.

God is about to do it for all of us!!

Begging God doesn’t necessarily get His attention. But when you’re in peace, that’s a place of power. When you cast those cares on Him, not only do you get peace where you can sleep in the storm, but the Creator of the Universe goes to work. Supernatural things will happen.

The antidote to anxiety is to turn it over to God. Don’t carry it; cast it. Don’t go around dwelling on all the negative, trying to figure it out, focused on the what ifs. Put it all in God’s hands. That’s when you’ll have peace that surpasses understanding.

Paul said in Philippians 4, “Be anxious for nothing.” That’s a bold statement. Then, Paul goes on to say, “But in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.”

God knows it’s not easy. You could be defeated, worried, panicked, but you’re still trusting Him. Can I encourage you? Your time is coming. That anxiety is not how your story ends.

The Scripture says, “When you honor God, blessings will chase you down.” You don’t have to look for the blessings. Keep God first place and the blessings will look for you.

When you live with expectancy, where your faith can be seen in your attitude, in your expressions, in how you talk, that’s going to cause God to notice you in a new way. God is always with us. He has us all in the palm of His hand. But faith is what gets His attention.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13

Life is too short to live it discouraged, letting our circumstances dictate our attitude. Every morning, you have to make the decision, “This is the day the Lord has made; I’m going to live it in faith. I’m going to be positive. I’m going to see the good.”
