The precipitous #Mets decline (45-70 since last June 12) mirrors 1992-93 (104-178 from 5/15/92 to 9/27/93). In each case, that's a 65-97 pace over 162 games. "You are what your record says you are." - Bill Parcells #LGM New York Mets MLB

If "mass transit" costs $150 per passenger to move people 20 miles from #NYC midtown to #MetLife Stadium in NJ, we need to fire everyone with @NJTransit and start over.

#LGM Worst year I remember was 1979, when average attendance was under 10,000 a game and the middle infielders were Doug Flynn and Frank Taveras.

Maybe I'm really weird, but I find #MLS so boring - so milquetoast - that I'd literally watch 22 guys in the park wear their favorite team kits and pretend they're Cruz Azul or Nacional. There's a reason AMERICAN #soccer fans are watching the Premier League, the Bundesliga, etc.

Legendary New York Yankees radio play by play announcer John Sterling has passed away at age 87. Sterling also had sports talk and call-in show on WMCA radio, called New York Islanders and NY Nets games in the mid-1970s, and Atlanta Braves games on TBS in 1980s. #RepBx

Pro-rel is really intriguing, for all sports, but to be realistic, you have to sell the idea as a financial win to the only audience which counts: the owners.
