Reception and Year 1 joined together this afternoon to practice their VE Day celebration songs with Mrs Bowman and Mrs Hulton. They had a really good go. We think all the families that are able to join us on VE Day will really enjoy it. #StSavHistory

Reception have been finding out all about the famous fossil hunter, Mary Anning. They have then gone on to make their own dinosaur fossils. #StSavHist

Our butterflies appear to be quite comfortable in their cocoons at the moment!! Luckily, one of our Reception children had some butterflies at home. Their Granny + little sister came along today and said we could release them. We wished them luck on their adventure. #StSAvSci 1:2

Reception continued their sending and receiving PE unit today. They were listening to instructions and practicing throwing, catching and travelling with their ball. #StSavPE

Bob the butterfly (named by Reception) has come out of his cocoon. He has been enjoying his orange for a couple of days. Reception said goodbye to him today and wished him luck for all his adventures. Keep an eye out for him! #StSavSci

Once a half term class teaches spend 15 minutes reading to another class to promote reading for pleasure. Today, Mr Lucas came to read to Reception. They loved his story and thought he was great at reading stories. Thank you Mr Lucas. You are welcome back anytime. #StSavEng

The Reception PSHE unit this half term included a session about mindfulness. Mrs Spencer-Peck led the session this morning. The class found it so calming and relaxing. Mrs Bowman wishes she had not been in a meeting so she could have joined in too! #StSavPSHE
