I just saw a girl at DIA doing a timed online quiz for her college class and was cutting and pasting all of the questions in ChatGPT.

Hard to overstate just how rapid the changes in US party coalitions have been. The Democrats are now the party of high education *and* high income voters. Just 12 years ago, the inverse was true. On these terms, the Trump coalition was closer to Obama 2008 than the Harris one!

Issue priority answers are mostly post-hoc rationalization of vote. Most voters are long-term partisans & were never in doubt. What does it mean for someone who has voted for every Republican since Reagan or every Dem since Clinton to identify "the issue that mattered most"?

GA is the first state to release full vote history for 2024. As a share of the citizen voting-age population, turnout rates went up for all groups compared to 2020 🚨except Black Georgians🚨 #gapol Greg Bluestein Patricia Murphy Cliff Albright (🧵cliffalbright🧵) Chris Towler Mark Niesse Natalie Mendenhall

In proper 2024 fashion, the Paul v. Tyson match feels a lot like Trump v Harris, we don’t know who is going to win, but whoever does will win all the swing states decisively.

New Cook Political Report: the incoming class of 33 House Dems is nearly evenly divided by gender, while the group of 31 new House GOP members includes just two women. Full analysis by Erin Covey: cookpolitical.com/analysis/house…

As much as I've been critical of Democrats after 2024, a strategy of just being normal and nominating candidates with a proven electoral track record might work perfectly fine in 2028 given what's probably going to be a chaotic four years in the White House.

The new census population estimates out today suggest a slightly less dramatic 2030 reapportionment. Florida & Texas would gain 4 seats each. California would lose 4. But New York’s loses down to just 2 seats and Michigan would keep all its seats.

Conspicuously absent from this post is her son’s GPA, which captures, albeit admittedly indirectly, the most important element of academic success: Grit. As a professor, I would much rather teach the smart, hardworking student over the truly gifted, lazy student.

.americanair just canceled my flight to Chicago, and I have no idea what’s is going on. There is a massive line that isn’t moving. I’ve been in the airport for three hours and counting.
