Solo-dev is crazy. How many times have I come up against a problem where I go "I don't know how the f*** to solve that." Then here we are. If you've made something then that means that you've solved every single problem that you had in the past πŸ‘

Realisation I've come to: You don't actually need to differentiate your product. You don't need to say it's cheaper/better than the rest. The odds are that most customers in the market are not using any product and yours is the first of its type that they've seen.

My only problem with Cursor is that it listens to me too much. I ask it whether we should do something and it says "Yes! Great idea!". I'm like, no, you tell me, you're the expert.

Thinking about how much I worked for a business vs how much I work now. Both about 40-50 hours a week. But, then I thought that when you work for a business (personally), I was only doing 'hard' work like half the time, whereas now, working on my biz, all my work is hard work.

Anyone else get stuck with making a really clever solution for your customers, but it doesn't actually benefit them that much and it makes it way harder to implement? I'm having that at the moment and thinking that I should just park my grand idea and implement a simple solution

People using ChatGPT. If you pay for Plus, can you actually have more intelligent conversations with the AI or is it pretty much the same as the free tier? I stopped paying for Plus, but am annoyed at how dumb free tier is.

What's the best way to setup messaging alerts for myself when there's an error in my code? Like, I want a whatsapp/discord etc message if there's an error in production code.

Had my first organic customer sign up and pay, i.e. someone that I hadn't reached out to myself. Had to refund them as the app didn't do what they thought. Need to update the landing page. They were also expecting quite a lot for $12! Useful feedback either way, offered a demo.

If someone signs up to your product and it wasn't what they thought, do you give them a refund? Or, because mine uses AI, do you say we've already incurred costs so we can't issue a refund?
