Tomorrow we celebrate 80 years since VE Day at the RBLI Village. Resident Violet, who turned 100 in March, was outside Buckingham Palace on 8 May 1945 after serving in the ATS alongside Princess Elizabeth. “The war’s over! I’m going!” she recalled.
