Wholeheartedly agree - gardens should not be covered with impermeable material and should have at least 50% if not a lot more planting (real ones) connected directly to the soil.

Yet another reason why we need to reduce artificial lights in our gardens and around our homes (not to mention street lights) - they might not be confusing the lights for the moon but it seems to be directly affecting their normal behaviour

If you widen that highway you won’t reduce emissions or congestion. What you WILL do is spend a lot of public money to induce even more cars emitting even more GHGs & pollution in the same or worse congestion with people still telling you to widen the highway. Period.
