Lovely piece x Keith Duggan on "Uncle Gaybo" from 9 years ago. 2010 seems like a different world in many ways. Superbly captured. Dublin could only do 1-in-row back then. LOL. Great line on Brian Cowen and dignity of Taoiseach's office. Long piece. However - great read.

At Blackrock this am 4 exp and hardy sea swimmers and I did a 20 min sm. It was about 8 degrees. Despite full wetsuits/hats/socks & gloves on some, we were all frozen returning to base. However the bould JB can do the same in Dgal in the nip!! & he met Gaybo!! #Porkiepieteller

That photo was the Cfin Minor team that won the Cty title in 2012. 6 of that XV started today vs Nemo & Dylan Wall came on. Serious retention rate. A few of those lads have never lost a Sr Cship game in Gway and have 7 senior medals and 3 All Ire club medals. #Goldengeneration.

What a headline in today's I.Times? Even my 1st yr Bus class thought cutting taxes and raising Exp was an "asinine idea that not even Harry Potter could pull off. My best LC Econ St just said in an exasperated tone - "No wonder our National Debt is heading for €250, Billion"

Really love Conor Cunningham's low key "one finger in the air" celebration.....like it? Love it. Great to see Conor getting the winning goal as he had not seen much action in Croke Park in the previous finals. Corofin's panel strenght is ominous for all other clubs in Gway.

Few great lines in this x K. Duggan. - Worth it. "Okay, you Don't want to kill the fella up the road because he plays for the other club? So f**k off out of here and go play the fiddle or whatever. " And - "Not to be looking for anything". - When asked what he is looking for.

Super writing.....great read. Captured what going to GAA matches is about. Hopefully - we will get back to doing so with family and friends and Covid19 gets a Red Card.

This was written in 2012. It is always easy to be wise after the event, of course - however Dublin have proven themselves to be some squad since then. Six All-Irelands in 7 years is stunning record.

Before the 2020 cty final - Want to say thanks to the Corofin players and Mgt team for some sensational days over the past 7 yrs. Against Nemo & Crokes they played some of the most sublime football ever seen. The best club side ever. 4 All-Ire titles in 6 yrs. Great memories.

If @20x20_ie is meant to actually be the start of something then we have to stop just paying lip service to it. PROMOTE IT EDITORS! How are our daughters expected to be inspired if there are no visible sporting female role models?
