The new, calmer 7th Street is officially open! The downtowns that people flood to are not the ones with the widest roads that let cars go the fastest. It’s the ones where you get to slow down, take in the surroundings, and move around safely in whatever way you choose.

Proud to welcome Archie, the newest member of the City’s Street Dept. team, with a spin down Jefferson! Archie is just the right size to keep bike lanes clean and safe for #STL riders. Thanks to the Streets Dept. and City of St. Louis for this important investment.

Turned my out-of-office email off this morning and returned to City Hall after three wonderful weeks of welcoming baby Jorgensen to our family. Couldn’t be prouder of her big sister and her mom, who are doing so much to make her know she is loved.

Two projects recently broke ground: The 20th Street cycletrack, which will connect to the Brickline Greenway at Market, and later at St. Louis Ave, & improvements to 22nd St. adjacent to the new NGA campus. Together these two projects account for over $12M in new infrastructure:

I have asked FEMA for a 30-day extension of the deadline to apply for individual assistance. We're still seeing hundreds of people apply every week and sustained foot traffic at the Disaster Recovery Centers.

I strongly disagree with this denial, as we have seen hundreds of St. Louisans continue to apply for FEMA individual assistance each week. Please apply before midnight! Even if you lack some details, the important thing is getting registered with FEMA before the deadline.
