Hmm, I never knew that frogs could take care of their young like that. We need to do some studies on our local frog species. Wow, #RoostersWorldja #Jamaica

Wow wow wow. A new species of #pangolin has been revealed based on genetic differences in smuggled scales & skins confiscated in China. Its formal description as the ninth known species of pangolin will have to wait until a whole animal is found. Its wild distribution is unknown.

Where did all the fireflies glow? We hear it in our comments - hey, why don't I see that many lightning bugs anymore? The simple answer is, because there aren't as many as there used to be. But why? Before we answer that, you need to know how this beetle starts out life. 🧵

Our younger lions enjoyed their first-ever pool party yesterday! This was the first time since they were born that our keepers have filled up the pool! They loved it!

The blunthead slug snake isn't like other snakes. This nocturnal reptile, which primarily feeds on slugs and snails, eats using a technique called mandibular sawing. To slice off the indigestible parts of prey, this species slides its jaws back and forth like a saw!
