We are excited to announce the publication of high confidence 3D template matching for #cryoET Hummer Lab Beck Laboratory Jan Philipp Kreysing @geissler_katha @s_l_schaefer @pc_hoffmann Max Planck Institute of Biophysics CZI Science Paper's link: nature.com/articles/s4146… See it in action in our short video!
An incredible talk by Anand Srivastava Anand Srivastava followed by a nice dinner with colleagues in Frankfurt. Anand’s insights on PH domain-membrane binding is truly inspiring and left us all motivated! Thabks to IBC2 Enable Cluster in Frankfurt and SFB 1177.
Really happy that our paper on solving the crystallographic phase problem using neural networks is out in Science Magazine. Thanks to Dr Toms Rekis and Anders Østergaard Madsen for a great collaboration. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Check out how we used simulations and single molecule FRET to determine how a invasion bacterial protein activates a plasma membrane receptor to enter our cells. Kudos to Serena Arghittu and Gabriel Hella, and great collaboration with HeilemannLab (👉🏻 heilemannlab.bsky.social) nature.com/articles/s4146…
I’m thrilled to share that my latest research paper has been published in PNAS! 📄 pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn… A big thank you to all the co-authors 🙏 Ram Bhaskara Kateryna Lohachova Ivan Đikić Hummer Lab. We often think of an "equilibrium" as something standing still, like a scale in perfect balance. But many equilibria are dynamic, like a flowing river which is never changing—yet never standing still. These dynamic equilibria are nicely described by so-called "detailed balance"
Fantastic collaboration. Thanks to Paolo Grumati SFB 1177 and Kateryna Lohachova
