An unusual train is DB Cargo UK’s 6L55 which is formed of two trains, one from Tinsley and one from Scunthorpe that then join at Doncaster with the train loco of one portion conveyed DIT in the middle! Tonight’s 6L55 passes Spalding with 66005 as train engine and 66183 DIT

Quite a niche piece of trivia, perhaps, but wheel-worked crossings are rare enough nowadays. Sleaford West must be unique in also having regular parallel moves signalled over it! It must look odd to waiting motorists, one train seeming to chase another, only a few seconds behind.
