This 500px artifact in GPT-image-1.5 is in the image output because OpenAI used images from this photography enthusiast site to train their model and since just about all images there have the 500px watermark, the model believes it is a necessary part of many images it generates.

AI companies act like training on stolen data is some minor, inconsequential "technicality" when it's literally the foundation of their entire damn business model.
