For me, Dyche’s Burnley achievements are given nowhere near enough credit. 369 games 138 wins 100 draws 131 defeats Won promotion, they kept faith after relegation, promoted again in 2016, qualified for Europe in 2018, all on one of the smallest budgets in the Premier League.

The fact that Burnley, with the squad they’ve got, are widely expected to survive by most neutrals year after year, is testament to the quality job Sean Dyche is doing. He’s typecast as a “functional” manager but he’s never been offered the chance to prove otherwise.
