Over the last few weeks we have seen the #OHL taking these sorts of positions as a fallout to the #NCAA decision last a Nov. There is a brewing struggle between the #CHL and #NCAA for supremacy now that they directly compete for players.

2025 Third-Overall pick Brock Chitaroni sneaks one past Gavin Betts on a bad-angle shot to give the #67s a 2-0 lead halfway through the first. A night of firsts so far! The team is buzzing. They look fast and hungry to prove themselves. OTT 2 KGN 0

The Frontenacs look like they are spiralling. Bad turnover in their own end leaves Whitehead to walk in all alone and score five hole on Betts. Ottawa with two goals in the last 1:01. Couldn’t have asked for a better start for this young 67s squad. OTT 3 KGN 0

Brock Chitaroni has that unique ability to throw a puck on net and have it find a way. No matter how innocuous the shot goaltenders seem to struggle with it.

The #67s outshot Kingston 17-6 in the opening 20 minutes. After the first few minutes it was all Ottawa. You can feel the confidence growing for this group minute by minute. Lots of credit needs to go to the D-corps. All 6 starters look solid especially Jackson. #OHL

Ty Robar knocks the puck out of the air to make it 3-1 just over three minutes into the second. D’Andrea and Williamson credited with assists. Troy Mann seems to have settled his team down during the intermission. They look much more coordinated in the second. OTT 3 KGN 1

Vandenberg shows off his wheels to create a breakaway before sniping it glove side on Betts. Easy to see why there was so much buzz around him at training camp. If he keeps going like this he’s going to put himself on scouts shortlists sooner than later. #67s #CaptialTerritory

Halfway through game 1 the line of Chitaroni, Vandenberg and Kingwell looks dangerous. They’re generating the majority of scoring chances and have scored two of Ottawa’s four goals in the game. If you’re Dave Cameron you have to be happy with the new guys so far.

Nathan Amidovski — the man they call “Amo” — fires a bullet into the back of the net after busting past Maleek McGowan. Eshkawkogan gets the sole assist on the goal. #67s are consistently turning the heels of the Frontenacs defenders and creating odd-man rushes. OTT 5 KGN 1

Ottawa continuing to cruise through the game. Shots 32-17 after 40 minutes and they lead 5-1. Lots of people assumed this team would struggle because of its youth. However, in game one they look young, hungry and wicked fast. Lots of season left but so far so good. #67s

Another good start to the period for Kingston. Snyder squeaks one past Nelson on a bad angle to make it 5-2 with 15:24 remaining in the game. Dave Cameron immediately put Kingwell, Vandenberg and Chitaroni on following the goal. OTT 5 KGN 2

Vandenberg completes the hattrick and snatches the four goal lead back for Ottawa. While you can’t crown him after one game, you can see exactly what got Ottawa so excited by him. James Boyd called him a strategic pick in the fifth round of the 2024 draft. Definitely paid off

6-2 win for Ottawa tonight over Kingston. Should be mentioned the Frontenacs didn’t have some of their best including Battaglia and Dervin who are at NHL camps. Thomas Vandenberg gets the hattrick and finishes with four points in his debut. Brock Chitaroni also got his first.

The Ottawa 67’s stay undefeated taking down Barrie 2-1. Gutsy game from Ottawa. It felt like they struggled with Barrie’s skill and experience early and adjusted over time. Brock Chitaroni scored the game winner and Ryder Fetterolf continues to impress in net. #OHL #67s

#67s do their thing. Vandenberg and Foster score 49 seconds apart to take a 2-0 lead in Brampton. This team swarms when they smell blood in the water. #OHL #CaptialTerritory

Rowan McCarthy (@r_mccarthy44) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This game could get ugly if Brampton doesn’t start slowing down the Ottawa attack. Import forward Jasper Kuhta scores his third goal of the year on a nifty give-and-go in tight with Jack Dever. OTT 3 BRAM 0 #67s #CapitalTerritory

Five goals in the last three games for Cooper Foster brings him to just five goals in six games this season. Took him a few games, but the floodgates have opened wide for the overages forward. #67s #CaptialTerritory
