To a large extent, I would say both. However, what has changed significantly for me as I have gotten older is the extent to which I can also hear Romanticism in Mozart.

Many in the UK will be thinking back to the events of exactly twenty years ago #Londonbombings #SevenSeven. Difficult times for London and its citizens, and for some, an event from which there will never be a full recovery. We must remember, and work to prevent a recurrence.

I’m SICK of saying it, but I’ll say it again. Asylum seekers can’t claim benefits. You need an NI number to do that. Asylum seekers aren’t staying in 5* hotels. Asylum seekers get £49.18p a week to live on. Could YOU live on that? NOPE. So stop pretending they’re living it large.

Led a Quiet Day for #Churchwardens today. Fabulous group of people who, true to form, threw themselves into a day of joys, frustrations, pearls and poetry. So tonight’s #CandleOfHope is for those whose #vocation is to serve the church in practical ways.

Farage on the BBC...again. And not a Green in sight. A reminder: Greens: 4 MPs 800+ councillors Reform: 4 MPs 600+ councillors When will the BBC give the Green Party the same amount of coverage as Reform? #BBCLauraK

Apart from all the stolen copyrights that have gone into training AI to be able to rework existing work at the touch of the button at the expense of original creators, it's the mass devaluation of the creative process that suffers most. No longer will there be an inherent

This is actually a far more damaging thing than is generally recognised. I would add that we should also start the bring back the full texts of the traditional hymns, many of which are only known by today's congregations in versions several verses shorter than the original.

I believe it's an area subject to a good deal of misrepresentation from those on both sides of the argument. Ultimately, what tends to matter to people is whether there is an increase or decrease in their own locality, regardless of what the national trend happens to be.

Actually, The Economist contains an insightful piece regarding the Green Party's standing with the British electorate. It also reports in some detail on the current leadership election. Well worth reading- I will be keeping a closer eye on Zack Polanski from here on out.

This happens to be the second time this quote from Patricia Routledge has crossed my path in recent days. There is great wisdom here! I think we tend to have a very limiting attitude to old age, and it is refreshing to read something which constructively counters that tendency.

Just days ago, Rupert Lowe was at great pains to remind us that the UK is a Christian country. He obviously hasn't read the instructions in the 82nd Psalm: "Defend the poor and fatherless: see that such as are in need and necessity have right. Deliver the outcast and poor..."

Quite how much good I do here I don't know, but if I can cheer and encourage those who themselves are doing important things, then it is not for nothing. There is plenty wrong with the world. I cannot solve it all! But I have a duty NOT to resign myself to the madness and chaos.
