.Queen Mary University of London is committed to social mobility but, in cutting 21 days pay from staff and underpaying workers for years, it doesn't seem to mind in which direction.

UPDATE: Thanks to your pressure, QMUL have released the historic data that we asked for related to the underpayment of low-paid staff. We've now analysed that data and what we have found is shocking: Queen Mary University of London's underpayment of its lowest-paid staff goes all the way back to 2006 👇

Funny how that The Office for Students (OfS) lingo shows up everywhere. But not in “in order to minimise the impact on the student experience, management is going to properly talk and ensure staff is not overworked and underpaid.”
Management Queen Mary University of London communicating very clearly that what they fear the most are informed students. Once students know the reality of their learning conditions they're not receptive to management spin. Come get that contraband info: qmucu.org/2022/10/27/inf… #ucuRISING

.Queen Mary University of London holding on tightly to that trophy of ‘most vindictive university’: we’re in The Observer. Again. For docking pay not just for the days we withdraw labour, but for every day we refuse to do the work we hadn’t been paid for in the first place. Again. theguardian.com/education/2022…
Sure, Queen Mary University of London’s banner was bigger in size, but ours was bigger in heart. #ucuRISING The little pink one states the facts. The big blue one: for whom? Diminishing pay, rising workloads, & precarious contracts shut the doors to academia for anyone but the independently wealthy.

Despite having a paid carers leave policy, Queen Mary University of London marked International Women's Day by refusing this leave to women in cleaning services who need to look after their kids during next week's school closures (cause it’s not an “emergency”). Remote training/working was also declined⤵️

Not satisfied with a bazillion emails bombarding our students about snitching on their own teachers, Queen Mary University of London has now made the Snitch Form a fixed part of the QMUL app. What a way to show surveyance and distrust is now fully imbedded in the fabric of our university. #ucuRISING
