Y-DNA chart for Kalash (n = 163) based on samples from published scientific studies (no private samples were found). Due to varying levels of SNP coverage across these studies, haplogroups reported as R*, L*, J*, and R1* are likely not basal and likely belong to deeper subclades.

In an Afghan context J-PH1795 was found in Uzbeks and Hazara (2 samples) from Afghanistan. Likely will be also present in Tajiks from North Afghanistan. All is linked here to Medieval Turkic groups.
