Had a great day trip into Richmond this weekend. The Canal Walk was incredible and we really loved the time together. We spent about 4 hours walking the trail, grabbing coffee, and chatting with folks along the way. We will definitely be doing this again!

Took a walk today along the Hopewell River Walk, then headed over to Grant’s HQs at City Point, and rewarded ourselves with burgers and ice cream. Really a great way to end the day.

I want to wish everyone a happy Veterans Day. This profession asks a lot of us but it gives a lot back in return. Each move, new job, deployment, and promotion brought new challenges that were overcome because of the Soldiers I served with.

This scene from #supermanandlois is great. Tyler completely essence of the character and makes someone with incredible power so relatable. As a father and a Soldier I completely was caught in the sense of missing time with the family and a desire to be better for those we love.

We were blessed to have both boys home for Thanksgiving and enjoy #fourforks for a brief moment in time. We played games, stuffed our faces, and enjoyed some history here in VA. It was so great being together even if only for a few days!

December 7th, 1941…the world changed in an instant. The fires of war had been burning for years, but in one fell swoop America was brought into the conflict. A generation rose to the call, their sacrifice needs to be remembered as the tides of authoritarianism are on the rise.

RIGHT NOW in 1944, 1,600 German heavy guns open fire on American positions in Belgium's Ardennes. The massive artillery barrage marks the start of what will become known as the #BattleOfTheBulge.

With 2024 behind us I’m overwhelmed by the good times and experiences last year held and can only hope 2025 can be nearly as great!

So it’s been over a month and I realized I never shared the big news. Cassandra Smith and I bought a house!! We took a moment to celebrate in Yorktown and Jamestown then got to work making the home our own. We’re so glad to have a place to make our own! Oh and last Zeus is a fan too.

A supportive call with your mom is better for you than texting. When daughters faced anxiety, if they heard their mother's voice rather texting, their bodies expressed fewer stress hormones and more love hormones. A mother's love is felt through her tone as well as her words.

Last week had a blast celebrating the Quartermaster Corps’ 250th Birthday. There were several events around post but by far my favorite was having the whole family get to attend the Ball together. #quartermastercorps #family

Making the "pspspspsps" noise around wild animals is not recommended. You might think you’re an animal whisperer, but you’ve just insulted their mother and are now surrounded by a horde of angry squirrels.”

Leadership isn't measured by how many followers you have. It's gauged by how may lives you improve. Selfish leaders divide people to advance personal agendas. Servant leaders unite people to achieve common goals. The best leaders are those who bring out the best in others.

Saw Superman tonight, it’s been two long years waiting for this iteration to hit the screen and man was it worth the wait! The challenge to be a good person in a world of negativity was impactful. The movie has heart, humor, and action…I can’t wait to watch it again!!
