Week 10 of comics reading is volume 1 of INVISIBLE KINGDOM. I've built this book up in my head for years. It's a cool concept, a creative team I admire, and edited by the GOAT. Not gonna lie, though. I found myself rather disappointed in both the writing & art. Kinda bummed, tbh.

Week 11 of my comics reading for the year is the final volume of TRANSMETROPOLITAN. Spider Jerusalem and his filthy assistants bring down the President in style. Some visual direction that I felt pulled away from the climax, but otherwise, a solid ending to the series.

I think there's an interesting repeat behavior within the Kickstarter comics community where creators come off like they're asking for charity as opposed to presenting a polished product that they're proposing is of value to a consumer. Painful to watch from repeat creators.
