🗺️I mapped the first round of the 1995 French presidential election. Chirac narrowly qualified for the runoff against PS candidate Jospin, eliminating Prime Minister Édouard Balladur, their competition giving rise to an interesting geographical division of right-leaning vote ⬇️⬇️

This one took me a while but happy to present the 1949 West German Election by municipality. This was Germany's first election after WWII and its first free one since 1932. Twelve different parties won seats, and every single one won at least one municipality.

The 1988 presidential election saw George Bush Sr. deliver a landslide victory against MA gov. Michael Dukakis—but not in his home state, where he eked out an 8 point win. This is the first time this election has been mapped in detail. Lots more maps/analysis below! 1/a lot
