Just spoken to my 23yr old daughter about not being interested in politics so not voting. If we have a disengaged generation who don't vote, we end up having to tolerate even worse. Get them interested, get them engaged. #Moreconversations.

DfE data says there were 263,904 suspensions in the spring term of 2022/23, compared to 201,090 during the spring term of 2021/22 – a rise of 31%. Why are we not looking at reducing the use of exclusion when trying to address school attendance? Makes no sense.

Prof Harry Daniels and Excluded Lives reminding us at the SEBDA National Council meeting today that the increase in permanent exclusions is fuelling the School-to-Prison pipeline. And much home education has been ‘strongly suggested’ by schools.
