This evening, we knew we were being presented with a cheque from the local community, but were shocked to be given one for £2,500! Quite literally gobsmacked! Thank you so much to the Puriton Inn customers, their wonderful fundraising efforts and generosity. 🥰

Cassie and Indie asked if they could do an assembly to encourage other children to read more. They created a PowerPoint which they shared with the rest of the school today. The girls spoke clearly and the rest of the children listened really well. What great Reading Ambassadors!

A year ago, this amazing woman was undergoing chemotherapy and today she completed the London Marathon in aid of Cancer Research, raising over £5,000! Mrs Attwood - you are amazing! We are lucky to have you as one of our TAs. An inspiration and role model to all!

We are proud of all of our Golden Leaf Award winners for consistently demonstrated our values, tried their best at all times and been polite, kind and courteous to their friends. Thank you again to JASUN ENVIROCARE PLC for sponsoring and giving each child a £10 book voucher.

We also celebrated our KS2 readers today. Congratulations to those who reached their bronze award (50 books) and their silver award (100 books). Reading daily makes such a difference to your learning!

We’ve taken an exciting delivery! What could it be…?

The boxes are empty! We have our very own set of sound and lighting equipment to support our school performances. This includes a wide range of LED lights, spotlights, speakers, wireless hand held mics, stands and 8 headset mics!

We owe a huge thank you to the local people who supported the quizzes which were held at the Puriton Inn. The generous donation of £2,500 has gone a long way and will benefit all of the children at the school. We can’t wait to test them out in a few weeks time!

We’ve also had the first fruit from the trees we planted last year using the money donated from the village Christmas Window Trail. There was a lot of excitement for the cherries this morning!

We love Sports Day at Puriton! Teamwork all the way! Well done to Blackdown House for winning this year. Thank you to all of the friends and family who came to support and join us for the picnic lunch!

Another successful Move Up Day completed. So many smiles in and around the school today. Everyone is now very excited for September!

Tonight was the final performance for our KS2 children. They did an amazing job! We couldn’t be more proud of them!

Well done to these children who have made exceptional progress this year!

These children were given awards for good attendance. They all had above 97% for the year.
