On the left is the proposed reconstruction of NYC's Penn Stn. (demolished 1963). Cost: £5.3bn On the right is the proposed redevelopment of London's Euston Stn. (demolished 1962). Cost: £7.5bn+ Why don't we save money & rebuild a modernised, beautiful version of the old Euston?

This is St. Anne's Church in Vilnius, Lithuania. It's over 500 years old and the perfect example of a strange architectural style known as "Brick Gothic". But, more importantly, it's a lesson in how imagination can transform the way our world looks...

Historic listed building? ✔️ Disused for a while ✔️ Earmarked for residential dev ✔️ Development seemingly stalled ✔️ "Mysterious Fire" ✔️ A tale as old as time.

Everyone knows that they prefer the building on right to the left & that they’d like our society to create buildings as humane, attractive & interesting as we used. Like the boy & the naked emperor maybe it’s time to turn private knowledge into common knowledge. Interestingly..

Sadly The famous Barton's Arms, not trading since 27th July, has now announced it is now closed. Built in 1901, The Barton's Arms was visited by famous performers like Laurel and Hardy. It is Grade II listed. Your memories please share.

Fucking Depressing really, how The Rich here in the UK can just Buy a Listed Building, which "Mysteriously" Burns to the Ground, so they can replace it with Commercial Property & Flats, with absolutely fuck all pushback

Sad to hear that 209 pubs closed in England & Wales in the first 6 months of 2025, a rate of 8 pubs a week! 😔I suspect raising levies on employers' wage bills and slashing discounts on business rates were major factors. Agreed?

Woolton Hall, a Grade 1 listed building owned by Abid Yousaf Chodray from Huddersfield. Grade 1 listed is extremely hard to develop.. I wonder what happens when they go up in flames..
