Prof. Dr. Markus Gerber DSBG University Basel gave in November 2024 two lectures at the senior university on the topic of exercise and mental health in the auditorium in the Kollegienhaus at the University of Basel. The two lectures were very well attended.

Despite the snow, ca. 350 prospective students took part in the information events at the DSBG @DSBG (11/22/24). They received an insight into the profile, content and career opportunities of “Prevention & Health Promotion” & “Sports Science in combination with a second subject”.

This year, our DSBG event was in the Zoo of Basel. There we could decide whether we join the guided tour in the monkey house or in the Etoscha house, before we had a delicious dinner. It was a fantastic evening with and for our colleagues. A big thank you to DSBG DSBG University Basel .

Our Team (PsyHPA) DSBG University Basel received 30´000.00 CHF from FAG (=Freiwillige Akademische Gesellschaft), situated in Basel, for a new PhD project which will start in January 2025. We thank the FAG very much for the trust in us.

As part of our Research Round Table (11/28/2024), Michelle Haas, ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, presented her PhD project to us. The title is “Effects of exercise gaming on the motor and cognitive system in people after musculoskeletal rehabilitation”.

Yesterday, 12/12/24, we had our team Christmas party DSBG University Basel with dancing Greek dances & playing bubble soccer. Afterwards, we had the traditional Glühwein a delicious dinner & a kahoot quiz about our little secrets. We all enjoyed it very much and went home with a smile.
