Students are working with the text “Bats Roosts in Danger.” Ms. Jarnich gets students talking about roosts, and what they have already learned about bat roosts. All students in the class are working with this text at the second grade reading level – and all participate.

The EL Education curriculum is designed to get students sharing their thinking about texts in multiple ways, from writing to speaking. Ms. Janich gives her 2nd graders a prompt, & they engage in a turn and talk about bat roosts. The buzz in classroom is music to our ears! 💙
