Offshore secrecy is a huge problem. It enables tax avoidance, sanctions-busting, dodgy PPE suppliers and drug cartels. We've a new proposal to end it, forever.

One enormous benefit of the new government is how much nicer watching #PoliticsLive is. Seems like less aggression and shouting over each other. It’s like there’s less criticism, but it seems more civil. Or is it just me?

Years ago, in the 1990s, me and my boss were looking at a client's rental accounts. He asked was I sure about the mortgage repayments. I said I had checked them with the bank. "They can't be less than the rent," he said, "That never happens. Not on a 90% mortgage." Seems like...

🚨Are 3 new by-elections coming our way?🚨 By my reckoning, 3 MPs didn't follow the swearing-in procedure correctly & shouldn't be voting - Ben Maguire, Liz Saville Roberts, and Torcuil Crichton. They could all face a £500 fine and have to vacate their seats.

If you thought Heathrow's third runway debate symbolised everything wrong with Britain's infrastructure policy, wait till you hear about Gatwick... Gatwick has had two runways since 1979. However, due to its very British planning agreement, it is only allowed to use one. 🧵
