Topiramate treats PTSD with alcohol use disorder, and in this new trial therapy outcomes were better for those randomized to topiramate: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40103353 Benzos, in contrast, can worsen exposure therapy outcomes.

For the incoming residents, don’t procrastinate on your onboarding paperwork. It may take a lot longer than you think, especially if you’re going to a program that has to cover hospitals in different medical centers.

Mostly credit cards. Others were able to take out a loan from their school. If you can’t do either, look into loans from your state medical association. That’s what I did and it helped a lot. Relocation stipends can help pay off the debt later (if your program offers that)
