ERS will be at the European Parliament tomorrow to address the pressing topic of inequalities in childhood respiratory health. The event agenda, led by ERS President Monika Gappa, will highlight the importance of respiratory health in children and urge collaborative action.

Today’s event highlighting the important of childhood respiratory health has begun with a welcome from MEPs Patrizia Toia and Romana Jerković Kraljić MEP Respiratory experts are in European Parliament to highlight the need to make childhood respiratory health a priority across Europe

In the second half of the ERS childhood respiratory health event, Chair of the ERS Environment and Health Committee Zorana Jovanovic Andersen spoke on the environmental aspects of the topic, and Ed Powell, Chair of the European Lung Foundation Youth Group, provided a patient perspective.

"Having you here listening to my story is a step in the right direction to bring attention to lung diseases and how paediatrics are often forgotten" Ed Powell, chair of our newly-formed Youth Group, spoke today at the ERS childhood respiratory event in Brussels.
